Cristina's Story...
figueroafilms is a self-founded freelance videography and photography business that offers services for events such as graduations, sweet 16 celebrations, college applications, college sports recruitment, weddings, music and dance videos, promotional videos, short films, and more. This business was created by Cristina Figueroa, a proud Puerto Rican, TV-credited, and award-winning student filmmaker.
You may be wondering how it all began. Well, it all started in 2012 when Cristina and her family became expats and moved to England for several years due to her father’s job. Cristina was devastated to leave her childhood friends, family, and hometown behind, and to adjust to an entirely new way of life. However, the one beacon of light during this challenging time was when Cristina discovered that she could create anything she envisioned with a camera... and she loved it.
During this era of technology, YouTube and Apple devices were on the rise so those were some of Cristina's first introductions to cameras and video creation... along with her father's pocket camcorder she'd snatch every now and then. With this, she learned how to create close bonds with those around her at a time it was most difficult, she became more independent at a young age as she was so eager to learn on her own and still is as she is pursuing her Masters' Degree in such areas, she has won several awards and has even had TV credit for productions she's been part of, and she even curated her own small business, which brings us to today.
Cristina is dedicated to capturing the essence of every event, creating timeless memories, and showcasing impactful stories through the lens. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, she aims to deliver exceptional visual narratives that resonate with her clients and broad audience. What has driven Cristina since she was 11 years old, is the pure love and passion she has for her craft. So no matter the type of project, if figueroafilms is behind the scenes, it is sure to be a labor of love.
